All Small Mentor-Protégé Program Application Service
There are tremendous opportunities for small and large businesses through the SBA’s All Small Mentor-Protege program. This vital program connects small businesses with more established companies for highly productive partnerships.
We assist companies large and small that are interested in applying to the All Small Mentor-Protégé program in several key ways. We examine both companies to evaluate their eligibility and the likelihood of receiving SBA approval of the partnership. We provide guidance and advice throughout the application process and provide a checklist to ensure that all required documents are provided. In short, our expertise and experience serves as a roadmap to help companies receive approval and help them achieve their definition of success.
Purpose of All Small Program
Pair small businesses with successful government contractors to help them gain federal experience. In the All Small Mentor-Protégé program, approved mentor and protégé companies are free to form joint ventures that allow them to pursue set-aside contracts for HUBZone, woman-owned, veteran-owned, or 8(a) certified businesses.
Benefits to Protégés of All Small Mentor-Protégé Program
- Mentorship in the areas of strategic planning, manufacturing, accounting. internal business management systems and marketing, among many other areas
- Loans for equipment investments
- Guidance on the federal contract processes including bidding, acquisition, and performance
- Guidance on finding markets both domestically and internationally as well business , development guidance. This includes identifying partnership opportunities and overall strategy
- Human resource sharing or security clearance support
All Small Program Qualifications (Small Business/Protégé)
- Be a small business in the same industry in which the joint venture will be formed
- Proposed mentor for the joint venture.
- Be established as a for-profit business or as an agricultural cooperative.
- Have no more than two mentors for the lifetime of the business
All Small Program Qualification (Established Business/Mentor)
- An established for profit or agricultural cooperative
- Can only have three protégés at a time
The SBA will determine if the partnership will help the small business grow and that it’s a mutually beneficial agreement.
The SBA will determine if there are any control or affiliation issues that exist between the mentor and the protégé.
