Women’s Business Enterprise National Council Certification

The certification provided by this group is one of the most recognizable in the business world and the standard for woman-owned businesses. Their tool, WBENCLink, connects purchasing managers with WBENC-certified companies.

To Be Eligible
- The majority owner/operator must be a woman
- Documentation proving ownership of the company
Required Documentation
- Business historical info
- Resumes for all owners, directors and key management positions
- Proof of gender and citizenship for female owner(s)
- Professional and business licenses (if applicable)
- Financial Documentation
- Copies of W-2s and 1099 forms for owner(s) and officers/directors
- Authorization and proof of capital and/or equity investment by the female owner(s)
- Corporate governance Information
- List of employees
- Affiliate/subsidiary agreements
